Frequently Asked Questions
What is the sign-up process?
Complete the
Boot Camp Registration form on this site and submit it
electronically. Once we have received your registration and
boot camp payment (you may pay online with a credit card or
mail a check), we will send you a confirmation email with
instructions for setting up your pre-camp evaluation.
What is the evaluation about?
The evaluation is very simple and takes only 20 to 30
minutes to complete. It includes the following:
- An introduction to North Atlanta Boot Camp and
answers to any questions you may have.
- A review of your medical history.
- A quick body assessment (body composition,
circumference measurements, and weight) to see
"where you are" prior to beginning camp. We don't
care what the measurements show -- it is strictly
for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all
other information are strictly confidential.
- An assessment of your posture to see if your back
is healthy. We can modify exercises if your back,
neck, or shoulders are sore or previously injured.
- If you miss your scheduled pre-evaluation you must
contact your instructor within 24 hours or forfeit
your slot in the camp.

Will I be sore sometimes?
Many boot campers feel some soreness for the first 2-3
days. After that, it is slight to moderate. It's all part of
the process of improving your physical condition!
What kind of people go to camp?
People just like you! Some of our boot campers just need to
jump start their fitness and wellness program. Some are
tired of the same out routine and are looking for a new
challenge and refreshing way to stay fit. Most of our
campers have some history of exercise, but it's not
required. We make the program just right for your ability
level. Remember, ALL FITNESS LEVELS ARE ACCEPTED and
ENCOURAGED!
 |
How many people are in each camp?
This number usually varies from 15-30.
What is a typical day like at boot camp?
We don't have typical days -- if you want the same
routine day after day, then you would probably want to
join a fitness center. You can expect a mixture of
cardio exercises, some running (less than a mile), light
weight-training, mat work, jumping rope, and
sports-related games. Each day is designed to be fun and
different, but never boring!
|
How soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little
as 3 days. Visual improvement can take from 2 to 4 weeks
depending on your effort level. It's not uncommon to see
as much as 3-8 pounds of weight loss after the first
week. Remember, everyone is different! Check out our
Individual
Results page!
Note: Every individual is different and will experience different
results when participating in North Atlanta Adventure Boot Camp. If you want to
lose weight and are under 18, pregnant, nursing, following a diet recommended by
a doctor, have health problems or want to lose more than 30 pounds, see a doctor
before starting North Atlanta Adventure Boot Camp.
What will I do after boot camp is over?
You will get re-measured and tested to show your
progress and success in the program. Many (up to 80%) of
the campers return for a second and even third camp.
Post-evaluations take less than 10 minutes to
complete. You may
schedule your post-evaluation now. Note:
There are no post-evaluations for the 2 1/2 week camps.

What if I sign up for the 3-day plan and then want to do
all 20 days of the camp?
This actually happens almost every time a person starts
with 3 days per week. They have so much fun, they ask to do
all the days. You will simply be prorated from the point you
decide to join us for all the days.
Is there a refund policy?
We can only give you a credit towards another boot camp
to be used the following month if you give us a
48 hour notice of camp cancellation or if you are unable to
continue with the one you began (or if you miss 5 or more
consecutive days) due to circumstances beyond your
control (injury or major illness). This credit is
nontransferable and your instructor must be notified within
48 hours of the 1st missed day of camp
and must be used within 3 months
. There is no cash refund.
